Move of the Month

July

The old Warden School was moved on July 12, 2010 from the Holburn area south of Stony Plain to the Pioneer Museum in Stony Plain. The school was 27 ft. high, 26' wide and 40' long. It needed power escorts because of the height. It was transported approximately 12 km. to its new home and took about 3 hours to get there because of all the wires that needed to be lifted. It was accompanied by 4 Fortis bucket trucks as well as the usual wide load escorts. It will be restored on site and opened to the public for viewing at the museum site..
